¡Hanukkah! Antònia Ferrer
HANUKKAH.
HOW CAN WE PROMETE RESPECT FOR
DIVERSITY WITH A CHRISTMAS
ACTIVITY?
Working different
cultures and knowing their way of celebrating it, we'll know new
things of those cultures. Before the Christmas holidays we
investigated about how different cultures celebrate Christmas, and we
had to make an activity to work with respect for diversity values. In
the case of Hanukkah we made a Dreidel, which is a typical jewish
game that most children use to play during Hanukkah time, while their
parents play to other thinking games. With this activity, we want to
show how different values can be shown when making this spinning
game. So, we need to promote friendship, helpful abilities and
develop social skills to work hand with hand with other people,
coming from different cultures.
REGISTRATION.
We
were told to do a research of how Hanukkah is celebrated, and then
enregistrer all what we hat to do. The first thing was to choose who
was going to do a research of the main food, of the main games, who
was going to look for the history behind it. Once all the information
was researched, and each of the group knew what to do, we started to
answer a few questions about that important festivity for the jews,
and then we made a power point presentation,
about we were going to say in front of the class. There was an other day
which we used to make all the decoration and crafts used on this
celebration. So, we made a big Dreidel, the menorah, the jewish star,
and some decoration in white and blue colours.

When
we had everything done, it was time to explain our presentation to
the other members, using our research, our decoration, and our skills
to explain them that we were experts about Hanukkah.
Hii Classmates!!!
ResponEliminaFirst of all, we have to say that we were impressed with your exposition of Hannuka the other day in class, it was awesome.
This tradition is cool, and thanks to the expositions that we all made togehter, we saw that your tradition and our tradition are very differet but at the same time, they're very similar.
The idea of the Dreidel is incredible and very funny, and it's a game that maybe, one day, we can use in class with our children when we became teachers.
The photos of the making off are so pretty and we also can see, how the group make and prepear the task.
Great Job Guys
